Currently (and oh my gosh how have 10 months passed since my last blog?!)
So much has changed in the last few months. SO so much.
So, first thing is that I’m married. Somehow life ran away with me and I didn’t even finish that series. Same with the Roaccutane.
Wow was that Roaccutane stuff horrible. I have never wanted to die as much as I did while on it. I was lethargic, miserable, in pain, and generally an unhappy human to be around. How Rickus went through with this wedding after last year is utterly beyond me! I’ve been off the hell drug since Feb / March and while my skin has regained some of its oiliness, and I have the odd break out now and again, I’m pleased to say that it’s nothing a little powder and concealer can’t fix. I hated having dry skin, and after I started seeing a few crow’s feet (gah! the dreaded aging!) I’m happy to have a little oil on my skin again to keep it nice and glowy.
Oh, did I mention I’m a student again? Yep, I’m currently finishing up my degree at the ripe old age of 28/29. Never did I think I would finish, but here I am. (And as a true procrastinator I’m blogging instead of studying). My exams are at the end of the month, and between work, looking for a new house and just life in general I have no idea how I’m going to pass. I will admit I’m currently relying on my brain’s ability to behave like a sponge, and hoping for the best. My assignment marks have been great, so all I have to do is pass these exams and I’ll be okay. I only have 2 subjects this year that I need to pass with a B average in order to do honours, so I’m just hanging on by a thread here.
Oh, a new house you say? Yep, 3 days before we flew up to Limpopo for our wedding and wedding prep we were given notice on our house. We knew it was coming, we just expected it a little later in the year. We have to be out end of June, and we’ve put in an offer for a house in a little estate near Buh-Rein, but we’ve encountered a slight snag in that the developer believes we are not committed and keeps delaying signing, despite imposing insane deadlines for when he’d like us to put money on the table. I’m very glad we didn’t go on honeymoon, because we would both have spent that week glued to our phones, finding properties, and trying to arrange a million viewings for the day we came back – not ideal.
Work is work, the boys are great, and I will leave you with a few happy snaps of our wedding. Our photographer should release our photos anywhere between mid-to-end June, and I’m SO excited for that!
Hugs & sloppy daxie kisses
